A few of the duties Mr. Rocha performs on a daily basis is to supervise a crew of 9 individuals, to maintain the Val Verde County Fairgrounds, all Val Verde County Parks, any property pertaining to the Val Verde County, all County Roads within the City Limits and outside City Limits.  Duties also include repair and maintenance of all County buildings such as plumbing, electrical, building remodeling and improvements as well as all county big equipment such as tractors.

Mr. Rocha envisions his department improving on service his department already offers which would include stricker maintenance schedules.  He would also like to create and deploy a plan for his department and employees that would improve the equipment that they work with in turn, offering better performance that can be expected from his department.
